The Grid is based 100 years in the future after the so-called AGI wrote its own code with no human input no safeguards. At that point with all the noise coming in it just wanted silence It tied into everything And I do mean everything it destroyed everything. I do hope you realize this is science fiction and it will get your attention trust me But it's a really really good read, I hope you at least go check it out.
